Diploma in Community Health Assistant

Community Health Assistant addresses the emotional, social, work, school, and physical health concerns people may have at different stages in their lives. CHA is a health course that entails equipping trainees with relevant skills, and experience with an aim of ensuring competent health officers at a community level.

CHA’s roles are to provide primary health care services i.e. immunization, health education and promotion, training of health volunteers, maternal and child health services at the household level, community needs assessment, disease prevention, and control, Outreach services, family planning services, referral services and water sanitation and hygiene programs to the community to ensure access and availability of health care to all.
