Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

Clinical medicine is a field of medicine that deals primarily with the practice and study of medicine based on the direct examination of the patient. This is in contrast to other science fields that focus more on the theoretical and basics of medical science.

The Clinical Medicine & Surgery Diploma at ICMHS Kenya is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to become proficient healthcare professionals in the medical field. This comprehensive course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of clinical medicine, preparing graduates for a wide range of roles in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

Clinical Officers are involved in proactively managing preventative care, reaching out to patients to ensure they get recommended tests and follow up interventions. Their major functions include; provision of curative, promotive and rehabilitative services, management of health services, and participation in health education to the public, act as catalysts of change in ensuring community is healthy for national growth, liaising with community leaders in increasing community participation in preventive health care.
